The important thing is the take-away. Master artists produced a congruency, a unified tone throughout the film. The characters are well developed, and there is a thread of mourning, of darkness, that the sound editing enhanced delicately. Without spoilers, I’ll say that more than anything, I didn’t feel triumphant, noone won anything in this film.
But I didn’t leave unsatisfied.
